The Luxembourg Peace Prize Awarded to Gurudev
Something rare happened on May 10th in Bengaluru.
The Luxembourg Peace Prize honors people who have made peace real. In 2026, the Schengen Peace Foundation and the World Peace Forum presented it to Gurudev in recognition of 45 years of contributing to conflict resolution globally.

Art of Living pioneered the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ more than a decade ago. Since then, over 1 crore 80 lakh youth across the country - from Kashmir to Kanyakumari - have taken the pledge against substance abuse through programs conducted in numerous colleges and educational institutions. The movement has also played a significant role in the rehabilitation of lakhs of young people.
I am glad that the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has now taken up this mission nationwide on a larger scale.
Encouraging to see 120+ social and spiritual organizations brought together by Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi for the Drug-Free India campaign. It would be wonderful to document the pedagogy, protocols, and success stories of each organization so the most effective models can be shared and scaled nationwide.
