20,000 Youth Take a Stand

Over 20,000 students from 50 colleges and four universities gathered for a special EduYouth Meet, organized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, pledging together to create a Drug‑Free Kashmir.

A Vision of Holistic Education

Addressing students, faculty, and leading educationists, Gurudev shared his vision of education that nurtures the whole human being—“a society free from violence, a body free from disease, a mind free from confusion, an intellect free from inhibition, and a soul free from sorrow.”

A Collective Pledge for a Drug‑Free Kashmir

Standing with Gurudev, thousands of young people publicly committed to a life free from substance abuse, igniting a powerful countercurrent of courage and clarity in a region facing an urgent drug crisis.

Youth as Guardians of Harmony

Gurudev shared a message of peace, calling upon Kashmiri youth to stand for communal harmony and to see life is too short for conflict. He encouraged the audience to invest their energy in love, service, and building a shared future.

The Event

With drug abuse emerging as one of the most pressing challenges among young people in Kashmir, the EduYouth Meet at Bakshi Stadium became a turning point—a space where pain and anxiety gave way to purpose and possibility in Gurudev’s presence. Organized by the Department of Higher Education, the gathering reflected a deep collaboration between public institutions and spiritual leadership to safeguard the next generation.

As a global humanitarian and ambassador of peace, Gurudev has long emphasized that true security begins in the human heart, with freedom from stress, addiction, and hatred. In Srinagar, his message resonated with thousands of young faces determined to embody this vision and carry it into their campuses, families, and communities.

Gurudev’s Message to Kashmir

Speaking directly to the youth, Gurudev expressed his dream of a Kashmir free from drugs and violence, where every young person can claim inner freedom and joy as their birthright. He reminded them that “we belong to that One Light” and that when we feel connected to that light within, “nobody is a stranger” and everyone becomes part of one human family.

Calling for love over division, he urged youth not to waste their precious time in conflict, but to channel their talent, creativity, and courage into building a peaceful and prosperous society. In doing so, Gurudev invited Kashmir’s young generation to be not just beneficiaries of peace, but its most powerful ambassadors.

Gurudev’s engagement in Kashmir is part of his ongoing journey to heal wounds, restore trust, and inspire youth to become custodians of harmony in societies emerging from conflict.
