Learn the Art of Winning the World with Love: Gurudev tells 50,000 students in Sikar  

Gurudev shares practical insights on combating academic pressure, managing relationships and secrets to happiness and enthusiasm on International Peace Day

In the wake of an emerging mental health crisis, a sense of isolation and academic pressure among students to excel, coupled with lack of knowledge about tools to manage stress in a healthy manner, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a global humanitarian and spiritual leader and founder of The Art of Living, interacted with 50,000 youngsters during his visit in the state. He led the students through a powerful meditation session after a lively, witty yet insightful interaction on issues spanning career, relationships, and matters relating to mind and meditation.

The interaction was organized as part of the ‘ Spreading Smiles Campaign’ at Sikar District Stadium.

On 20th September, Gurudev also addressed more than 5000 students at Mody University, where sharing with students, he emphasized the need to get rid of hatred from within and accept diversity or difference of opinion and preferences. Gurudev challenged the students to reach out to and connect with every other student in their classroom and make friends with them, despite the apparent differences – a suggestion which was well received by the students.

“Shake hands with those you do not like and you will see something shifts within you,” Gurudev said, “If we learn the art of winning over everyone with love, then everyone will live in accordance with us.”

Gurudev is visiting Rajasthan between 20 and 23 September.

Over 2,00,000 youths from kota and Sikar have experienced meditation from 2016 – 18 under ‘ Spreading Smiles Campaign’ achieving inner peace and outer dynamism. Around 40,000 students have experienced the Art of Living meditation sessions in IIT/NEET coaching institutes of Sikar in last 1 month (August 2018) under Spreading Smiles Campaign.

Spreading Smiles Campaign is an initiative to bring unshakable smiles, undying confidence and fearless attitude among the youth.

It all started when the darker side for Kota gained media attention, a city known for giving the nation most number of IIT/Medical students. The Art of Living volunteers discussed the challenges the students face with the stakeholders-students, teachers and coaching institutions and how the pressure took so much toll on the kids of the age 16-17 years that many of them were forced give up their dreams.
