In keeping with Art of Living’s focus on arts as a unifying cultural vehicle, Taal Ninaad recorded participation by 1548 percussionists (1230 tablas and 318 pakhawaj).
During the event, which won a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for most hand drum players together on one stage, audience members pledged to work toward freeing their communities from alcohol and violence.
In addition, Gurudev urged the gathering to discard discrimination based on caste and creed, and to commit to the advancement of human values.
