After a long wait of 500 years, a historic moment unfolded as the new Ram Temple was consecrated in Ayodhya. This monumental event marks the culmination of decades of efforts, legal battles, and unwavering devotion.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar met with the stalwarts of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement; Suresh Das Ji, Nritya Gopal Das Ji, and Champat Rai Ji, the professor who dedicated his life to this cause.
The road to the construction of the Ram Temple was fraught with legal battles, and one of the most pivotal moments came with the Supreme Court verdict. Justice Ashok Bhushan Ji was the Supreme Court judge who presided over the Ram Janmabhoomi case. Dinendra Das Ji was the petitioner from Nirmohi Akhara. The Nirmohi Akhara had been tirelessly fighting this case for over two centuries.
Gurudev was part of the mediation committee, which played a vital role in facilitating dialogue and understanding among the parties involved in the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute.
Gurudev also visited the Devkali mandir which holds a special place in the heart of Ayodhya as it is Sri Ram’s kuladevi (family deity). Restoring this sacred place in September 2002 was a poignant moment in the journey towards the temple’s consecration.
Gurudev also interacted with Hon. CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath under whose resolute leadership, Uttar Pradesh has undergone a remarkable transformation. His commitment to the development of the state is evident, with substantial progress made since 2019.
The consecration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is not just a historic event; it is a testament to the faith, perseverance, and unity of the people of India. It represents the culmination of a long-cherished dream and the beginning of a new chapter in Ayodhya’s history. As the temple stands tall, it serves as a symbol of hope, devotion, and the enduring spirit of a nation.
