Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was invited to a dialogue on the topic of compassion at The Center for Compassion & Altruism Research & Education (CCARE) at Stanford University.
Gurudev spoke with the Center’s founder, Dr. James Doty on a wide-ranging conversation centered on compassion in all aspects of our lives.
Gurudev emphasized the importance of combining compassion with passion and dispassion. Gurudev also discussed the importance of breathwork and meditation practices in increasing one’s capacity for compassion. The talk was attended by 500 individuals comprised of Stanford students, faculty and staff as well as members of the general public.
