Gurudev’s visit to the UAE commenced with a meeting at the royal residence of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohamed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah.

Discussions here spanned various themes, notably the advocacy of virtuous human values and the vital need for peaceful coexistence. Further collaborative discussions on environmental conservation and sustainable development occurred with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah. Gurudev expressed his appreciation towards the UAE’s leadership for their dedication to fostering global receptivity and transformation.

Gurudev was invited to COP28 to deliver a speech about his contributions to peacebuilding, disaster and trauma relief, poverty alleviation, and climate action.

In response to questions about the possibility of mediating peace efforts in West Asia, Gurudev stated that it is in his nature to seek the resolution of conflicts and to foster peace.

Gurudev also shared his experience in resolving the 52-year long conflict between Colombia and FARC, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and understanding in achieving harmony.

UN Addresses and Panel Participation

The subsequent days saw him delivering a keynote address at the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), emphasizing the importance of internal transformation for sustainable living. He also engaged in a panel discussion at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), exploring the impact of interfaith collaboration on sustainable land management.
