The city of Jodhpur witnessed a unique convergence of spirituality, healthcare, and community engagement as Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar graced the historic AIIMS Jodhpur campus. The two-day tour, held on January 23rd and 24th, saw multiple events, initiatives and interactions.

A Spiritual Evening at AIIMS Jodhpur

At an event titled, “Significance of Spiritual Wisdom in Modern Healthcare Landscape” organized by AIIMS Jodhpur, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar addressed an eager audience of medical doctors and faculty members. Spirited activities and a lively discussion ensued, highlighting the importance of spirituality in modern healthcare. The event, which saw a warm welcome by the institute’s president, Dr. S.S. Agarwal, and Executive Director, Dr. Madhabananada Kar, culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research (Art of Living’s Global Division for Research) and AIIMS Jodhpur. This MoU aims to foster joint research initiatives on Sudarshan Kriya, yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, ushering in a new era of integrative medicine.

Pearls Of Wisdom in Jodhpur

The second day of the series witnessed Jodhpur coming together for an evening of wisdom, music, and meditation at the ‘Pearls Of Wisdom’ event.

Blood Donation Center Inauguration

Organized by the Nirmal Gehlot Charitable Foundation, the event featured Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar inaugurating the “Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Blood Donation Center”. This three-story, modern center, equipped with the latest technology, serves as a hub where individuals can meditate while waiting to donate blood. Additionally, the center can host individual blood donation camps, making it a valuable resource for the community.

The inauguration of the center was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, and the Union Cabinet Minister from the Ministry of Jalshakti, Gajendra Singh Gehlot. This initiative underscores Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s commitment to fostering both spiritual well-being and community welfare, as it combines the essence of meditation with the noble act of blood donation.

The events in Jodhpur served as a testament to the transformative power of spirituality and its seamless integration into modern healthcare and community service.
