Launching the “Volunteer for a Better India” Campaign  

The event rejuvenated volunteerism for social causes and commemorated the United Nations International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development and the International Anti-Corruption Day

Introducing “Volunteer for a Better India (VFABI), the Art of Living Foundation’s newest initiative, Gurudev appealed to India’s citizens to “Give one hour to the nation. The country has problems because good people are apathetic. Youth must take charge and volunteer for a better India.”

The event, which sought to rejuvenate volunteerism for social causes and grassroots advocacy, commemorated the United Nations International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development and the International Anti-Corruption Day. Project partners include:

  • United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
  • United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
  • United Nations Global Impact (UNGCNI)
  • United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)

  • Heroes Project
  • Drishtee, a social enterprise focused on rural India
  • INERELA+ (Asia Pacific), an international network of religious leaders
  • Inter-American Institute on Cooperation for Agriculture (IICA)
  • Aids Prevention and Control Project (APAC-VHS)
