The Center for Compassion & Altruism Research & Education (CCARE) at Stanford University hosted a dialogue on the topic of compassion.
Arthur Brooks, president of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), hosted Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to continue a conversation about human flourishing that began when AEI invited His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Gurudev travelled to villages of Bihar spreading his message of peace, non-violence and human values.
In his address, Gurudev stressed on imbibing discipline in life. Government can be imposed from outside but discipline comes from within, he said, adding that discipline was necessary for reformers and rulers both.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar launched the ‘Save Life India’ project, a special blood donation initiative.
The over 2000-strong audience pledged to support blood donation and work towards community welfare in the event entitled, ‘My India, My Vision.’
