Sri Sri University Celebrates 10th Convocation with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Inspirational Visit

On the auspicious occasion of its 10th Convocation ceremony, Sri Sri University in Odisha beamed with pride and joy as it welcomed humanitarian leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This monumental event not only commemorated the achievements of the graduating students and the hardworking faculty but also marked a new chapter in the university’s journey towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Gurudev’s visit to the university was a whirlwind of activity and exchange of ideas with the future leaders of tomorrow. In a heartfelt message, he congratulated the students and faculty, inspiring the new graduates to stride forth into the world with determination and a spirit of service to forge a happier, more prosperous future.

The visit saw Gurudev interacting with over 130 startup founders and business leaders at the startup exhibition inaugurated at the university. This exhibition was a showcase of creativity and ingenuity with products ranging from an automatic pani-puri machine to sustainable leather alternatives made from mushrooms. The Sri Sri University’s ‘Innovation Foundation’ has been a cradle of entrepreneurship, having incubated 132 startups, contributing to the creation of 3,000 jobs, and supporting 18,000 farmers.

As part of the ‘Edu Meet 5.0’ event, Gurudev engaged with educators and vice-chancellors of various educational institutions across Odisha. His interactions extended to the creative domain as well, where he met with actors and social media content creators from the state, emphasizing the role of creativity and content in shaping the future of education and society.

The three-day visit was packed with inaugurals and signings that underline the university’s commitment to excellence and collaboration. Gurudev inaugurated eight new ‘Centers Of Excellence’ focusing on cutting-edge domains such as Cyber Defense, Robotics & Automation, Global Case Research, Safety In Sports, Disaster Risk Resilience & Sustainability, and Electric Vehicles. These centers are poised to become beacons of research, learning, and development, fostering an ecosystem where innovation thrives.

In a significant move towards expanding the Art of Living’s educational reach, memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed with four leading educational institutions in Odisha. This collaboration is set to enrich thousands of students and faculty members with the life-enhancing programs offered by the Art of Living Foundation.

Gurudev’s presence at the university energized the academic atmosphere with the values that the Art of Living Foundation exemplifies—spiritual growth, leadership, resilience, and global responsibility. The enthusiasm and vigor of the students, faculty, and staff during the events resonated with the foundation’s vision of a stress-free and violence-free world.
