Addressing Mental Health Challenges Post-COVID:
Gurudev expressed concern for the mental health of young people in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that many are “swimming between aggression and depression.” He emphasized the need for action to uplift the spirits of those who are struggling.
“We all have to be active to uplift the spirit of humanity. And for that, I’m happy that you have all gathered to influence the society in a positive manner.”
The Power of Meditation:
Gurudev highlighted the scientifically-proven benefits of meditation, noting that it helps to focus the mind, makes the body healthy, and even creates antioxidants that can make a person look younger.
“A violence-free society, disease-free body, confusion-free mind, inhibition-free intellect, trauma-free memory, and sorrow-free soul is what meditation can offer to us.”
Promoting Unity and Coexistence:
Gurudev praised Dubai as a prime example of unity and coexistence, with people of different languages, religions, and cultures living together in harmony. He emphasized the importance of promoting this sense of unity and oneness as the future of the world.
“This is what we need to present to the world – there’s no point in going into fight. It’s so unfortunate what’s happening in Syria, Sudan, and this Russian-Ukraine conflict. I wish people understand more about life and value life more than their little whims and fancies.”
Meditation for Success and Well-Being:
In an interview, Gurudev shared that incorporating meditation and Kriya practices into daily life can lead to increased focus, intuition, and overall well-being, making individuals more competent and successful in their work.
“If you do 10 minutes of Kriya every day and 15-20 minutes of meditation, it takes care of your energy level, it helps you to be more intuitive, and it also brings focus in the work you are doing.”
Gurudev’s address at the NAS Summit in Dubai was a powerful reminder of the importance of mental health, meditation, and unity in a post-COVID world.
