In recognition of his efforts to make a sustainable change in the society by empowering the individual, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was awarded the “Geospatial World Award for Societal Impact” by the Geospatial World Forum.
The organization applauded Gurudev’s environment initiatives. The Art of Living, under Gurudev’s leadership, has pioneered river rejuvenation in India, reviving 47 rivers and over 1000 dying water bodies, and has planted over 81 million trees in 36 countries and 26 Indian states.
