Visit to the Statue of Equality

 

The monument was conceptualised by the Chinna Jeeyar Trust to commemorate 1000 years since Ramanujacharya's birth.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar visited the newly inaugurated statue of Ramanujacharya. Named as the “Statue of Equality”, the monument was conceptualised by the Chinna Jeeyar Trust to commemorate 1000 years since Ramanujacharya’s birth.

Congratulating H.H Chinna Jeeyar Swami for his tribute to the great Ramanujacharya, Gurudev highlighted the 11th-century philosopher’s visionary social reforms to end discrimination in the caste system prevalent at that time.
