The 74th Republic Day of India will be celebrated on January 26th, and to kick start the celebrations, the Bharat Matha Maha Harathi event was held in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. The event was attended by prominent figures including Art of Living founder Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and MP Dr K Laxman. The event began with chants of ‘Vandemataram’ by the crowd.

The cultural programs presented by artists from various states and students, organized by the Bharat Matha Foundation, sought to reflect the rich cultural heritage of India. The event aimed to foster patriotic sentiments in society and promote unity and brotherhood among all Indians.

Gurudev in his address, emphasized the importance of all Indians respecting one another, while Naidu called for foiling attempts to break Indian society. He highlighted the need for everyone to know the country’s history and for the values propounded by elders and the cultural aspects to be followed, in order to hand them over to the next generation. He also congratulated Kishan Reddy and the foundation for conducting the Maha Harathi every year with renewed vigor. The elderly members of the audience expressed their happiness with claps.
